Keeping an eye on what's going on behind your motorhome is important for driving safety. However, the visibility of most RVs or vans is inherently limited. The view is often obstructed by the completely enclosed rear of the vehicle, making it impossible for the driver to see what is happening directly behind him. Alpine has developed the perfect solution: the DME-R1200 - a digital rearview mirror with a built-in 12" Full HD monitor displaying the image from a high-resolution HDR camera located at the rear of the vehicle. Through a clear image, you can monitor the traffic situation behind the motorhome or caravan and also use it as an analog rearview mirror (when off) to check passengers and pets in the back.This greatly increases safety and driving comfort.The high-quality HDR camera and image processing system achieve a clear rearview mirror with minimal glare, even at sunrise or sunset or when tracking a vehicle at night with strong headlights.

- See what's behind you - in Full HD resolution - the DME-R1200 uses a brilliant Full HD screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and excellent brightness for perfect visibility in bright daylight. The included rear camera uses 2M pixels to capture any detail and can be installed inside or outside the vehicle (depending on whether you have a rear window or not).
- Excellent night vision - HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology ensures optimal exposure and vivid details even at night and allows you to see the rear surroundings perfectly despite the headlights of other vehicles. The mirror automatically dims the brightness so that you are not distracted when driving in the dark.
- Reducing blind spots - increasing safety - the supplied rear camera has a 140-degree lens angle in all directions and therefore significantly reduces the blind spot to the left and right of the rear. You can fully adjust the viewing angle from the digital mirror by simply dragging your finger across the screen in the direction you want to adjust.
- It also works like a normal mirror - there is a power button on the front of the mirror cover. When you press it, the display immediately turns off, revealing a fully reflective mirror surface that can be used as a normal rearview mirror (for example, for a quick look at the interior of the motorhome while driving, or to use the mirror as a make-up aid).
- Optional 10m camera cable - the Alpine digital mirror comes with a rear camera with a 6m cable. If you need a longer cable, you can replace it with the optional 10m replacement cable KWX-DM01 (please note this is a replacement cable, not an extension cable).
- Installation brackets for many vehicles - the DME-R1200 digital mirror is a universal product, and to install it in a motorhome or van, an additional mounting bracket for a specific vehicle is always required. Alpine offers a wide range of mounting brackets for all popular outdoor vehicles.
