The new Morel Performance Series amplifiers have been developed with the same passion and product philosophy that characterizes all Morel products. The company's research and development team has worked diligently to design and build the MPS series amplifiers to provide a balance between high quality, performance and affordability. As they manufacture the highest quality speakers possible in Morel, they are well aware that poorly designed amplifiers and electronics can negatively affect or completely destroy the speakers' performance potential. With this in mind, the technical directive for MPS amplifiers was simple - to produce a range of amplifiers that would be exceptionally musical and dynamic, with clean, uncoloured performance that could drive speakers to their full sonic potential.Precise design and top quality components
To meet the development requirements of the MPS series amplifiers, high quality audiophile components were used to enable the production of these amplifiers. These feature fully balanced differential inputs that provide excellent noise rejection and can handle up to 20V of input signal. This makes it possible to receive a signal from the factory level speakers even through the RCA connection. High-quality sound reproduction of Texas Instruments amplifiers and high-end components maintain the integrity of the audio signal at the highest level. The thermal protection of the amplifiers is controlled by a microprocessor, which allows our designers to design the amplifier without the need for internal fuses that can prevent the supply of energy to the power supply.Ease of installation is a top priority
With ease of assembly in mind, MPS amplifiers are designed to make their features and design easy to install. All models use a single-sided layout for all joints, making installation simple and clean. Tuning options and preamplifier settings are located discreetly under a removable panel on top of the amp. Low-pass filter (LPF)LPF / LP or "low pass filter" offers the possibility to adjust the amplifier using a potentiometer so that the lower band plays only the frequencies in a certain band that you need. This filter is used to adjust the frequency range for the subwoofer, so that it does not overload or distort the sound. Example: Amplifiers most often have an LPF from 20 to 300 Hz. Harmonic Distortion (THD)Total harmonic distortion indicates how much the input signal is distorted in the amplifier. Distortions appear as overtones contained in the output signal. The proportion of originally absent parts of the signal is given as a percentage, typical values are between 0.001% and 0.5%. Distortion is measured in their power band.
