DSP processor for OEM integration JL Audio FiX-82
The JL Audio FiX™ 82 is a state-of-the-art digital signal processor designed to deliver premium sound from factory audio systems without having to replace the OEM source unit. The FiX™ 82 is the first DSP to automatically correct time-delayed factory outputs before signal summing and EQ correction. With a powerful 24-bit DSP processor and two integrated 1/3 octave equalizers, the comprehensive 2-band, 3-band and 4-band factory audio outputs are combined and automatically level-adjusted into a flat, full-range stereo signal. The differentially balanced inputs accept virtually any OEM analog audio signal from low-voltage, line-level to high-power, amplified speaker-level outputs (up to 30V RMS). Calibration is initiated at the push of a single button and takes only about 30 seconds to complete, with no special equipment required. By connecting a PC with TüN™ software via USB, you also gain access to a full set of diagnostic panels that display the frequency response of input signals as well as corrected outputs. Input polarity, muting and filtering can be adjusted and new calibrations can be initiated from the PC. Clicking on the "TUNE" tab of the TüN™ interface also gives you access to a pair of user-adjustable 10-band graphic equalizers for fine-tuning the output signals. Output options include dual RCA connectors (4V RMS) or digital optical (Toslink) output with 24-bit/48kHz PCM audio support (S/PDIF). Activation methods include 12-volt or automatic (Signal/DC-Offset Sensing), plus a dedicated remote power-on output to activate your aftermarket equipment. Connect the optional DRC-100 digital remote control (sold separately) to add master volume control capabilities from the driver's seat. Clipped input signals and overall status are also reported via the DRC-100's multi-color status LED. Achieving great sound from your factory stereo has never been easier and never sounded better.
