Hifonics ZSQ15 damping set
While HiFonics Alubutyl sheets are mainly suitable for dampening vibrating or easily resonant sheet metal parts behind door panels or other places in the vehicle due to their high weight and internal density, the installation of acoustic foams in the interior is also recommended to reduce noise. With the ZEUS ZSQ7 and ZSQ15, HiFonics offers two foams of different thicknesses that optimize interior acoustics in vehicles. The material can be compressed to 1 or 2 mm and is therefore very easy to work with. Depending on the application, sheet metal dampens or as a damper it can keep surfaces and parts that tend to vibrate under tension. For example, the aluminum butyl recommended for door panels can be glued with an additional layer of foam between the door panel and the panel to improve acoustics. Both ZSQ foams are self-adhesive, which makes them also suitable for immobilizing loose cables.
