High/low converter Zapco ASP-OE2
It's very difficult to replace a factory head unit these days, and you usually lose a lot of features when you replace it. The Zapco ASP-OE2 is an OEM adapter with top-of-the-line, custom-made components that ensure excellent sound. It is an active device containing a line converter that outputs 9.5V RMS and 14V peak signal voltage. Bass recovery function
If you own a newer vehicle, you've probably noticed that when you turn up the volume of the system, the bass component of the sound system decreases. This is because car manufacturers actively balance the factory audio system. This is to protect the factory woofer from damage at high volumes. Even if you add new amplifiers and speakers to your car, the factory head unit will still dampen the bass frequencies when you turn up the volume. One way to avoid losing bass is to keep the volume range of the head unit low and increase the output of the amplifiers. This way the head unit does not know how loud the system is. Unfortunately, it does terrible things to the sound. The Zapco ASP-OE2 can bring bass back into the system regardless of the head unit's volume control.
