Kemo M094N tick repellent
The M094N emits pulsating aggressive ultrasound waves that animals perceive as very disturbing and uncomfortable. The device can repel rodents, dogs, cats, insects and birds. Therefore, it contains a rotary control, which can be used to smoothly adjust the transmission frequency, from lower audible, through medium at the limit of audible, to ultrasound up to 40 kHz.
In vehicles, it is installed higher in the engine compartment (not waterproof). In EU countries it is a fundamental requirement that tick repellers are installed in such a way that they can only turn on when the car engine is turned off (never when the engine is running), therefore it is connected to a permanent PLUS pole and a MINUS that only appears when the ignition is turned off. A 200mA fuse (not included) must also be fitted to the positive lead of the unit.
Values indicating which frequencies can be used for each animal for best results:
- Birds about 10 kHz: position 3 - 4
- Rodents approx. 24 - 32 kHz: position 7 - 8
- Insects approx. 27 - 35 kHz: position 8 - 10
