Meguiar's All Purpose Cleaner (3.78 L)
The universal interior and exterior cleaner from the professional Detailer line is intended for cleaning all interior surfaces, such as textile upholstery, carpets, vinyl, plastics, leather and others. Also for cleaning wheel arches, discs, engine and other parts of the car. The product contains optical brighteners and softeners, which contribute to a top result not only when cleaning the interior of the vehicle. By diluting in ratios of 4:1 to 20:1, you can completely individually choose the strength of the cleaning effects of the product and thus adapt it completely to your specific needs. All products from the Detailer line are completely safe and gentle, even when used by untrained personnel, if the instructions for their application are followed. They are designed to achieve the maximum possible results in car care.
Recommended procedure for cleaning textiles (e.g. carpets, seat covers, etc.)
- Work in the shade and on a surface that is cool to the touch.
- Shake the product before use.
- First thoroughly vacuum the cleaned surface from loose dirt.
- Spray a small amount of product directly onto the cleaned surface from a distance of approx. 30 cm. Do not wet the surface!
- If you are cleaning stains, apply the product closely directly to the stain to cover it completely.
- Coarse textiles (carpets, etc.) - leave the product on for 30 seconds.
- Delicate textiles (seat covers, door panels, etc.) - do not wait and continue immediately with the next step.
- Clean the surface of the textile with a gentle brush (e.g. horsehair or nylon). The product foams in the fabric and picks up impurities from deep in the fibers. At the same time, it releases grease and other impurities.
- Vacuum the surface with a liquid vacuum cleaner and free it of cleaner residues and dirt.
- The surface should be only slightly damp after cleaning so that it can dry completely in a short time.
- If necessary, you can repeat the entire procedure. The rule of thumb is that repeating a gentle procedure is better, safer and more effective than a one-time aggressive application.
Recommended Alcantara cleaning procedure
- Alcantara is not leather, but a special type of microfiber, so it can be treated in a similar way to microfiber, but more gently. Alcantara is much more susceptible to mechanical damage than regular microfiber.
- Pollution prevention is the best way to maintain alcantara. Regular vacuuming and avoiding stains is therefore the best method to keep Alcantara soft to the touch, beautiful and luxurious to look at for a long time.
- Lightly soiled alcantara
- Spray some distilled water on a clean microfiber cloth.
- Wipe the dirty surface, taking care not to soak the Alcantara with water.
- Wipe the surface dry with a second, dry and clean microfiber towel.
- Do not rub the Alcantara with great pressure or force - there is a risk of mechanical damage!
- Heavy soiled alcantara
- Spray a very small amount of D101 Meguiar's All Purpose Cleaner at a ratio of 20:1 (water:product) onto the soiled surface. Make sure that the alcantara surface is not soaked with the product!
- Use a very fine brush (e.g. made of fine horsehair, which you can find in our offer) to loosen the dirt from the Alcantara and then gently wipe it with a dry, clean microfibre cloth and dry the surface completely.
- Important tips :
- Before cleaning, always vacuum the surface thoroughly from loose dirt.
- Use only a soft horsehair brush (you can find it in our menu) or the wet microfiber cloth method. Brushes with hard, e.g., nylon bristles could damage or tear the alcantara.
- Moisten the microfibre cloth often during cleaning, this will prevent re-contamination of the surface.
- Use only distilled water! Regular water contains dissolved minerals that could create maps and stains on the Alcantara surface.
- Make sure that the alcantara surface is not soaked with water or cleaning agents. When Alcantara gets wet, there is a risk of stains and maps.
- Work very gently and carefully with Alcantara. Alcantara is much more susceptible to mechanical damage than ordinary fabrics.
- You can repeat the cleaning process for heavier dirt or stubborn stains. Keep in mind that 2-3 repetitions of gentle cleaning are always better than one aggressive cleaning.
- Never use aggressive cleaners, products containing bleach or solvents!
Recommended engine cleaning procedure - quick / dry cleaning
- Before cleaning, warm up the engine briefly - leave it running for 10 minutes with the hood closed to loosen any coating of dirt and grease.
- Use compressed air or another suitable method to remove leaves and other coarse debris from the engine compartment.
- Shake the product before use.
- Spray a sufficient amount of product directly onto the cleaned surface from a distance of approx. 30 cm.
- Using a brush with firm but not sharp bristles, carefully clean the entire surface. You can use, for example, brushes from our offer.
- Afterwards, use two microfibre cloths to wipe off product residues from all surfaces.
- Wipe off dirt with one cloth, wipe dry with the other.
- Do not leave the product on any surface for longer than 30-45 seconds and do not let it dry!
- If necessary, divide the engine compartment into smaller parts, such as a quarter, and work in sections so as not to exceed the time limit of the product's effect.
- Do not use on polished metal surfaces without topcoat!
- Finally, apply a protectant such as D160 Meguiar's All Season Dressing to all cleaned surfaces. This will treat the surfaces after using the degreaser, nourish, protect and give them a luxurious, rich and dark look.
- Spray the dressing on the surface and spread it with a fine brush, such as one from our current offer, so that it covers the entire surface evenly.
- Let the dressing dry.
- Wipe off excess with a microfibre cloth to achieve a solid, dark and rich look on all plastic, rubber and metal parts.
Recommended engine cleaning procedure - complete detailing
- Modern engines are designed to withstand moisture. With a suitable procedure, you can easily and effectively clean even a heavily soiled engine compartment.
- Wear safety glasses to prevent cleaners and other chemicals from getting into your eyes.
- Before cleaning, warm up the engine briefly - leave it running for 10 minutes with the hood closed to loosen any coating of dirt and grease.
- Use compressed air or another suitable method to remove leaves and other coarse debris from the engine compartment.
- Seal the area around the engine compartment (front bumper, mudguards, front doors) with masking tape and a covering film from our offer to prevent the surrounding paint from being stained with cleaner and other chemicals and dirt from the engine compartment.
- Cover all sensitive electronic parts into which water can penetrate (e.g. exposed sensors, installed electronic devices without the necessary sealing, open air filters, etc.) before starting cleaning.
- Wrap the electronics and open air filters with food film to prevent water and dirt from entering, then reinforce with e.g. aluminum foil (aluminum foil) and cover with masking tape.
- You can seal the inlets of the air intakes with a microfiber or cotton cloth.
- Shake the product before use.
- Spray a sufficient amount of product directly onto the cleaned surface from a distance of approx. 30 cm.
- Using a brush with firm but not sharp bristles, carefully clean the entire surface, including all corners. You can use, for example, brushes from our offer.
- Rinse the cleaned part with water. We recommend using a spray nozzle on a hose. Using a pressure washer can cause moisture to enter sensitive electronics, and a strong jet of water can mechanically damage some fragile components in the engine compartment.
- Do not leave the product on any surface for longer than 30-45 seconds and do not let it dry!
- If necessary, divide the engine compartment into smaller parts, such as quarters, and work in sections so as not to exceed the time limit of the product's effect. Do not use on polished metal surfaces without topcoat.
- Then clean the lower part of the hood using the same procedure. Finally, we recommend washing the hood from the inside using a washing glove and car shampoo to strengthen the shine of the paint and rinsing with water.
- If the hood has textile padding, spray only a small amount of the product on the surface, clean with a gentle brush suitable for textiles and wipe with a microfibre cloth.
- Once again, gently rinse the entire engine compartment from any remaining cleaner.
- Drying you can do it in two ways:
- Close the hood, start the engine and let it dry with the heat produced. Before starting, uncover all covered engine parts.
- Dry the engine compartment with compressed air (recommended).
- Unmask the surrounding body parts, expose all engine parts.
- Finally, apply a preservative such as D160 Meguiar's All Season Dressing to all cleaned, non-textile surfaces. This will treat the surfaces after using the degreaser, nourish, protect and give them a luxurious, rich and dark look.
- Spray the dressing onto the surface and spread it with a fine brush, such as one of our current range, to evenly cover the entire surface.
- Let the dressing dry.
- Wipe off excess with a microfibre cloth to achieve a solid, dark and rich look on all plastic, rubber and metal parts.
Recommended procedure for cleaning other parts of the car (front door, wheel arches, tires, etc.)
- Work in the shade and on a surface that is cool to the touch.
- Rinse the surfaces with a hose or pressure washer (vacuum) from all loose dirt.
- Shake the product before use.
- Spray a sufficient amount of product directly onto the cleaned surface from a distance of approx. 30 cm.
- Clean the surface with a brush with firm but not sharp bristles. You can use, for example, brushes from our offer.
- Rinse the preparation from the surface with a stream of water.
- Dry painted surfaces with a drying towel or chamois.
- Apply wax to painted surfaces to restore protection that may have been weakened by degreasing.
- Apply a tire treatment and protection product such as D160 Meguiar's All Season Dressing.
