Meguiar's Keep Clear Headlight Coating spray (120 ml)
Protective spray on the surfaces of the headlights, which protects their surface from the adverse effects of the surrounding environment, yellowing, oxidation and tarnishing. Suitable as perfect, long-lasting protection for new headlights as well as older headlights after polishing or renovation. Surfaces made of clear plastic (polycarbonate, plexiglass, etc.), such as headlights, degrade, dull, turn yellow over time due to adverse environmental influences and become difficult for light rays to pass through. As a result, the light output decreases and driving a car in low light conditions becomes dangerous. Whether you're in this situation and want to refurbish your lights, or your car's headlights are new or in mint condition and you want to protect them from damage, our G17804 Meguiar's Keep Clear Headlight Coating is the solution! This protective spray coating resembles clear lacquer, but its main advantage is very strong UV blockers that prevent surface degradation of clear plastics. The performance of the product has been independently tested and confirmed by ASTM G154 12a certification for its perfect protective properties against the harmful effects of UV radiation, moisture and heat. Instructions for use
- Work in the shade and on a surface that is cool to the touch.
- Shake the product well!
- Mask the surrounding parts of the body to prevent them from being smeared with the protective spray.
- If the lights are damaged, dull, yellowed or oxidized, we recommend renovating their surface first (e.g. using G12310 Meguiar's PlastX clear plastic polish, or first sanding with suitable sanding discs and then polishing).
- Clean and degrease the lights, eg with G8224 Meguiar's Perfect Clarity Glass Cleaner . Wipe off any remaining cleaner with a clean, dry microfiber cloth.
- On the degreased and dry surface, spray a medium-thick layer of protective spray horizontally and then vertically (or vice versa) so as to cover the entire surface of the headlight.
- Allow the first layer to dry for 3-5 minutes.
- Apply a second medium-thick layer in the same way.
- The protective spray is dry to the touch after 3-5 minutes.
- Full curing is achieved after 24 hours. Do not expose the treated surface to water during this time.
- If you splash the protective spray on the surrounding parts of the bodywork, wipe it off immediately and do not let the product dry on them!
