Meguiar's Metal Polish (177 ml)

Procedure for polishing metal surfaces

• Work on a surface that is shaded and cool to the touch.
• Scoop a small amount of polish from the cup with the foam applicator.
• Polish the metal surface with a circular or parallel movement and medium pressure.
• Wipe off the polish residue before it has time to dry on the surface.
• Use a microfiber cloth for wiping   X1906 Meguiar's Supreme Finishing Towel, X2010 Meguiar's Supreme Shine Microfiber Towel or   E101 Meguiar's Ultimate Microfiber Towel.
• If necessary, repeat the entire procedure until you remove all defects and achieve a perfect, mirror-like shine.

Meguiar's tips

• Not sure if the surface is painted with a clear lacquer or if it is raw metal without surface painting? We will advise you how to find out easily.
• Take any lacquer or metal polish.
• Using a suitable applicator (e.g. X3070 Meguiar's Soft Foam Applicator Pad ), apply a small amount of polish to the surface you want to determine whether it is metal or lacquer, lightly buff and see what color the working surface of the applicator has turned:
  • The applicator has turned black - this means you are polishing raw metal that has no paint on the surface - so use a metal polish for polishing.
  • The applicator has turned into the color of the polish - you are polishing the lacquer with which the metal is covered - so use the lacquer polish.
