The G2970 Meguiar's Two Step Headlight Restoration Kit contains two products that will help restore clarity to headlights or any other clear plastic, polycarbonate or Plexiglas surface while protecting it for up to one year! You don't need any device to use this set, you can do everything smoothly even by hand! However, if you want to make your work even easier and more pleasant, and if you have a polishing attachment for the G3500 Meguiar's DA Power System drill, you can attach matting discs to it and easily perform the renovation by machine. Step 1 - G31704 Perfect Clarity Cleaning Compound ("cleaner")

• A unique cleaner designed to remove damage to lights.

Headlight renovation procedure

• Basic instructions :
  • Always work in the shade and on a surface that is cool to the touch. Never work in direct sunlight! Shake all liquid products well before use! Use only high-quality accessories (foam applicators, microfiber cloths) to apply and wipe off products. Follow the instructions for use! Please contact your dealer if you have any questions.
• Method:
  • Clean the lights with a detailer or wash the car with shampoo and dry. Use masking tape to cover all surrounding parts of the body.
• Step 1
  • Shake the product well!
  • Apply a dime-sized drop of cleaner (step 1) to the matting disc.
  • Using parallel strokes and slight pressure, fog the headlight cover in one direction first.
  • Subsequently, matte the headlight cover using the same technique, perpendicular to the original direction.
  • Repeat the process until you reach a uniform matte surface of the headlight.
  • Wipe off any remaining cleaner with a damp microfiber cloth and wipe dry.
• Step 2
  • Shake the product well!
  • Spray a medium layer of protective spray (step 2) horizontally and then vertically (or vice versa) on the matted surface to cover the entire headlight surface.
  • Allow the first layer to dry for 3-5 minutes.
  • Apply a second medium-thick layer in the same way.
  • The protective coating is dry to the touch after 3-5 minutes.
  • Full curing is achieved after 24 hours. Do not expose the treated surface to water during this time.
  • If you splash the protective spray on the surrounding parts of the bodywork, wipe it off immediately and do not let the product dry on them!
