Mercedes-Benz B-Class - soundproofing of the front wheel arches and hood

Sound deadening of the front wheel arches and hood of a Mercedes-Benz B-Class. The owner of this vehicle complained about noise especially from the front part, specifically from the front wheels and the engine. This is mainly due to the tires and, of course, the engine. We are able to effectively reduce the strong low-frequency noise from the front wheels with the help of anti-vibration material from the premium Dark model range with a thickness of 4 mm. It can deal not only with vibrations, but also with noise of the lowest frequencies. Medium and high frequencies are then taken care of by the multi-layered Comfortmat Blockshot material, which, thanks to the anti-noise membrane, provides sound insulation of up to 30 dB. We apply it to the plastic part of the wheel arches, which also prevents noise from flying stones. We also soundproof the hood with two layers. The first is the traditionally anti-vibration material Comfortmat D2 with a thickness of 2.3 mm, which will increase the rigidity of the hood plate and reduce vibrations in this area. Noise reduction can be achieved by applying the sound and heat insulating material Comfortmat Neoprene, with which we will replace the missing original engine cover.View products >Hide products >
