The power cables are used to connect the external amplifier to the car battery and also to ground the amplifier. Compared to CCA cables made of a mixture of aluminum and copper, OFC copper cables have better heat dissipation, lower specific resistance, more stable voltage or less susceptibility to oxidation. The highest quality OFC cables have tinned strands for corrosion protection and lower operating temperature.
