Unilite CRI-1900 work light

The Unilite CRI-1900 is a high performance CRI light that has the ability to be mains powered or use a built-in rechargeable battery, + offers a 2A power bank for charging other devices. It puts out 1900 lumens from a 15.6W COB LED at maximum setting and has four output levels - eco, low, medium and high to choose from, as well as a choice of four color temperatures 2700K, 3500K, 4500K and 6500 K. Color Rendering Index (CRI) is a measurement of a light source's ability to faithfully reveal the true color of an object compared to a natural light source such as sunlight and is measured between 0-100. The CRI-1900 has a high value of CRI 96+, which means that the quality of the light source is extremely good and displays colors in their true form. It also helps reduce eye strain that lower CRI light can cause.

Light output and control

The CRI-1900 work light offers excellent light spread and performance, equipped with two buttons on the back to control all settings. The left button is the on/off button and controls the brightness output each time you press it to cycle through eco, low, medium, high and off. If left in any mode for more than 3 seconds, another press will turn the light off instead of switching to the next brightness level. Below the button are four lights, each with a lumen output next to them, the green light indicates which output you are on. When turned on, the power level indicators next to the power button light up to show the remaining power and consist of four lights representing 25, 50, 75 and 100% power. Once turned on, the brightness and color temperature can be changed to suit the task at hand. The right button changes the color temperature and has four lights below it, each with a color temperature next to it. Each press of the CCT button will cycle them through the green light showing what color temperature you are at. It remembers the last used color temperature and turns on again in this color temperature.

Battery and charging

Powered by a 7.4V 5000mAh lithium-ion rechargeable battery, the CRI-1900 has a battery life of up to 1 hour and 30 minutes at the highest setting. The battery can be easily recharged by lifting the dust cover on the back of the light and plugging the charging cable into the charging port on one end and plugging the other end into a wall socket. The included mains adapter comes with four different sockets for use in multiple countries such as UK, US, Australia and EU. The light can also be used continuously when plugged in, even with a fully charged battery, allowing you to conserve battery power if access to a power outlet is available when using the light. While charging, the four charge indicators on the back will light up to show the charging progress, with one light flashing before it starts to light up, and another light flashing until finally all four LEDs are solid after about 3 hours of full charge. In addition to the light function, the CRI-1900 also has a 2A power bank function and can charge external devices via a standard USB-A port located next to the charging port on the back. To charge an external device, simply plug the USB-A end of the cable required for your device into the USB-A port and the device should start charging automatically.

Construction and turning options

The CRI-1900 light is made of super tough nylon polymer with a fluorescent yellow center. It has a stand on the back and can be pulled out and rotated 210° to tilt the light in any direction, while also acting as a strong magnet and carabiner clip. 180° rotatable handle allows for easy portability, has a hole cut out for attaching to a tripod. When the light and plugs are not in use, you can store them in a handy nylon case that closes with a zip and has a carrying handle. This light is also compatible with expandable single and dual head tripods, which can be purchased separately.
