• Audiophile 3-Way Speaker System - These Hi-Res Audio certified speakers, drawing on AlpineF#1Status technology and materials, deliver the highest quality audiophile sound in your vehicle up to 40kHz. The 3-way system consists of 170mm door woofers, 96mm midrange speakers and 70mm tweeters with a 25mm voice coil. The set also includes high-end X-over nets.
• Carbon Fiber Diaphragm - All speakers in this set (as well as the HDZ-110 Alpine Status subwoofer ) use reinforced carbon composite diaphragms to achieve a fully unified timbre identity - resulting in excellent harmony. • Premium build quality - Trickle-down technology - double edge allows for maximum diaphragm deflection with excellent diaphragm control and stability. This reduces the sound distortion caused by the vibration of the diaphragm at higher volume levels.
• Top-notch circular radiator tweeter - The included 70mm Hi-res Audio circular tweeters sound simply amazing and play up to 40kHz. They feature a 25mm carbon fiber diaphragm that is tuned to perfectly match the mid-woofer and woofer to achieve fully uniform coloration. They also feature an integrated waveguide, a tuned rear chamber and a strong neodymium magnet.
• Alpine Status Full System - contains many components that are optimized for power and performance as a complete system for playback in the intended high definition specification for excellent audiophile sound quality. However, each component can be purchased separately to build your own system.
• Audiophile speaker X-Overs - the included 3-way x-over networks contain hand-picked, high-end components and offer many adjustment options: you can adjust the mid-range level from 0 dB to -3 dB, the tweeter level from +3 dB, 0 dB or -3dB and you can set the X-Over woofer to 12dB/oct or 6dB/oct. Smoked acrylic cover with Alpine logo can be slid forward to access screw terminals and jumpers.
• Slim-Fit version of the tweeter - if you plan to install the speakers inconspicuously or simply do not have room for a 7 cm tweeter, there is also a Slim-Fit version of this 3-way system. Called the HDZ-653S , it features the same woofers, midrange and mesh, but the included tweeter is 44mm in diameter and has a much smaller installation depth. This makes it very easy to install in the original tweeter location.
• Studio recording specification - Alpine Status achieves 192kHz/24bit playback, which is 6.5 times the amount of digital audio data in a standard CD or digital streaming service and exceeds the standard 96kHz/24bit high definition specification found in most audio aftermarket solution. This allows Alpine Status to capture and accurately reproduce details such as a performer's breath or a musician's subtle interaction with an instrument. This capability not only reproduces the music as originally intended by the artist, but mimics the in-vehicle studio recording experience.
