Carbon Collective Elixir Salt Remover Concentrate
Salt accelerates corrosion and causes corrosion of chassis and suspension components. Elixir Salt Remover neutralizes road salt, helping to minimize corrosion and thus extend the life of your vehicle. Elixir Salt Remover is a low pH foaming pre-wash specially formulated to remove granular road salt, sand and inorganic road film. The foaming nature of the cleaner allows for a longer working time, breaking down salt and other dirt over time or allowing the surface to be brushed (where needed) to further remove built-up dirt. The salt remover is specially designed to remove bound crystalline salt particles from the surface that would not otherwise be removed by the normal washing process or the use of common cleaning agents. Road salt reacts with organic molecules such as fuels, oil and other inorganic molecules from the road to form a coating on the surface of the vehicle, which is why this targeted salt remover is necessary. While salt can be dissolved in water, bound salt grains cannot be easily removed by pressure washing or hand washing alone, and even prolonged immersion in water only removes a small percentage of bound salt particles. Elixir should be incorporated into your washing process as a two-step pre-wash phase, especially in winter. Over time, the bottom gasket on classic cars will become brittle, crack, and expose an exposed metal surface, and this is where salt and water cause a problem, seeping into the cracks and accelerating rusting. Older cars are especially prone to this because they don't have galvanized bodywork from the factory.Main features
- Body and chassis salt remover.
- Concentrate.
- Foaming product, works for a longer time.
- It removes salt particles that you can never completely remove with normal washing.

Dilution
Deep cleaning before applying protection:- Via spray bottle: 150 ml and 850 ml of water - pH 4.5
- Through Snow Foam Lance: 200 ml and 800 ml of water - pH 6.5
- Via spray bottle: 100 ml and 900 ml of water - pH 6.0
- Through Snow Foam Lance: 100 ml and 900 ml of water - pH 6.7
- Via hose adapter: clean - pH 6.5
pH levels at various dilutions
Mixed in a spray bottle- 50 ml and 950 ml of water = pH 6.1
- 100 ml and 900 ml of water = pH 6.0
- 150 ml nebulizer and 850 ml water = pH 4.3
- 200 ml and 800 ml of water = pH 3.9
- 250 ml and 750 ml of water = pH 3.8
- 50 ml and 950 ml of water = pH 7.1
- 100 ml and 900 ml of water = pH 6.7
- 150 ml nebulizer and 850 ml water = pH 6.6
- 200 ml and 800 ml of water = pH 6.5
- 250 ml and 750 ml of water = pH 6.3
- Pure = pH 6.8
How to use
- Before use, the body must be soaked.
- Choose the correct dilution ratio.
- Use rubber protective gloves when working.
- For first use we recommend a stronger dilution to remove any lingering salt deposits.
- Decide how you will apply: in a spray bottle, using a wapka and foamer or via a hose adapter.
- First apply Elixir Salt Remover to remove road salt, inorganic road film and lift heavy dirt.
- Apply to the lower half of the vehicle, the wheel arches and the chassis.
- Leave on for 10 minutes, rinse until the water runs clear.
- After cleaning, the chassis can be protected with chassis wax (you can use e.g. Bilt Hamber Dynax-UC ).
- After pressure washing or rinsing the Elixir, use Ultimus or Ultimus+ Snow Foam to neutralize any remaining chemicals from Step 1, creating a nearly neutral water runoff and removing any remaining debris.
- It's important to make sure you also clean the chassis and chassis components as thoroughly as possible, salt build-up is usually more concentrated here and can very easily hide between gaps in panels or chassis components, accelerating corrosion.
- Elixir Salt Remover Concentrate can be applied in several ways, diluted in a spray or applied with a snow foam or hose adapter.
- Do not allow the Elixir to dry on the surface!
- Work on a cool body and out of direct sunlight!
About the brand
Carbon Collective is a small, independent UK company that offers the ultimate detailing products such as ceramic coatings, various detailing products and a wide range of accessories. They started out as product testers, but because they were dissatisfied with the product offering on the market, they started developing their own products. It has been developing and manufacturing products since 2013, focusing on making each product well-formulated, perfectly functional, and easy to use. Development is a step they never rush. All their products are "Created by Detailers, For Detailers". Carbon Collective products are safe to use, often with pH neutral formulations designed to work specifically with ceramic coatings. Each individual product is created to their own specifications through extensive testing and prototyping, undergoing rigorous real-world and laboratory testing prior to production to provide the best formulation, performance and durability. They will not release a product unless it meets their high standard. Carbon Collective products are specially formulated and developed to be the most innovative and effective products on the market.Catalog number | CC-261 |
