Liquid wax with natural carnauba Meguiar's Gold Class Carnauba Plus Premium Liquid Wax (473 ml)

Gold Class wax is a premium wax from the Meguiar's range, additionally containing natural carnauba. Perfect protection, water repellency and shine support is exactly what you can expect from this wax. Natural carnauba gives lacquers an extreme depth of shine that is best seen on dark and black lacquers. The first-class quality of the Gold Class wax was confirmed by an independent test in the laboratories of the University of Technology in Liberec, which was published in the Autosalon program on the Prima television station. The package also includes a foam applicator for applying the wax.

Tips for waxing and paint protection

  • The body should be cool to the touch and in the shade.
  • The paint surface should be clean and dry. If necessary, decontaminate the paint surface with Meguiar's clay - this will achieve a glass-smooth paint surface on which the protective layer will last longer.
  • If necessary, remove paint defects (scratches, stains, oxidation, etc.) and achieve maximum shine with one of our effective and gentle   Meguiar's polish.
  • Use only a very small amount - the larger the layer of wax, the more difficult the wiping and the faster the consumption. Larger amounts will not increase protection.
  • One package of wax, whether solid or liquid, should be enough to treat 20 - 25 passenger cars if applied correctly.
  • The difference between solid and liquid Meguiar's wax is just a matter of personal preference. Both types will provide the same protection to the paint, so choose the one that you will work with better and more comfortably.
  • Waxes can support and enhance the shine and depth of paint that you have achieved by previous polishing. However, they are not designed to create a shine on old and oxidized paint by themselves. This can only be achieved by polishing.
  • The easiest way to apply wax is to apply the wax to the entire surface of the body. In the meantime, the wax just needs to dry and you can replace the applicator with a microfiber cloth and start wiping off the wax in the same order. Such a method on a personal car takes 20-30 minutes of work without much effort. However, if you are not sure whether the wax is dry enough to wipe off, use the "finger test". Try to wipe off the wax with the tip of your finger - if you smear the wax on the surface, we recommend waiting a little longer, but if you wipe off the wax with your finger, you can polish it clean.
  • When applying, avoid all rubber and plastic surfaces on which the wax could leave white marks.
  • You can significantly extend the durability of the wax layer and the effect of repelling or "beading" water (the so-called hydrophobic effect) by regularly using Meguiar's shampoos. Using Meguiar's detailers will give you the best maintenance between regular washes.
  • Do not use aggressive detergents, degreasers (typical dishwashing detergents, etc.) or active cleaners and foams to wash the car. These preparations are not gentle on the wax layer and weaken it very significantly, in some cases they can completely remove the wax from the surface of the paint, as well as polishing oils that nourish the paint. The result will be a dried, exposed varnish, which will begin to degrade very quickly on the surface and it is easy to damage it mechanically and chemically until you protect the varnish again with a new layer of wax or other suitable protection.

Car waxing procedure - manually

  • Work on a body that is in the shade and cool to the touch.
  • Apply 4 cherry pit sized drops to the foam applicator included with this wax and rub completely into the applicator to moisten the surface.
  • Then add a drop the size of a cherry stone and apply the wax to the surface.
  • Work in circular motions and let the applicator slide over the surface without any pressure.
  • Apply a very thin matte film, visible against light.
  • Add wax 1-2 drops the size of a cherry stone only if necessary - if you do not apply a sufficient, thin layer of wax with the applicator as at the beginning of the work.
  • A larger layer of wax does not increase protection. If you use too much wax, it will be more difficult to wipe off and you will use up the package sooner.
  • Let the wax dry on the surface for at least a few minutes (depending on the ambient conditions in which you are working - temperature, humidity).
  • After the wax dries, lightly wipe with a microfiber towel X1801 Meguiar's Finishing Towel , X2010 Meguiar's Supreme Shine Microfiber Towel or E101 Meguiar's Ultimate Microfiber Towel .

Procedure for waxing a car - using Meguiar's DA Power System or MT310 Meguiar's DA Polisher :

  • Work on a body that is in the shade and cool to the touch.
  • Use a black foam disc ( G3509 for DA Power System or DFF5 or DFF6 for DA polish).
  • Apply 3-4 cherry pit size drops to the disc and rub it completely into the disc to moisten its surface.
  • Then add a drop the size of a cherry stone and apply the wax to the surface.
  • Work at a low speed (max 1200 RPM on the drill, set the speed to 3800 OPM on the DA polisher).
  • Completely without pressure, cover the entire surface of the bodywork with a thin matte film with wax.
  • Add wax 1-2 drops the size of a cherry stone only if necessary - if you do not apply a sufficient, thin layer of wax with the wheel as at the beginning of the work.
  • A larger layer of wax does not increase protection!
