Mercedes-Benz GLE - top sound system with DSP processor

The sound system of the Mercedes-Benz GLE focused on high sound quality. And for that reason, in this case, we abandoned the OEM solution using specific speakers for Mercedes cars, which is particularly characterized by easy installation. Everything else is a certain compromise, and we certainly did not plan to do so in this installation. After careful consideration, we have decided on products from the manufacturers we will rely on most for our high-end installations for years to come. Morel, Zapco and JL Audio. These are producers from different continents, but united by the desire for absolute sound quality. From Morel we chose high-end components for the front door, JL Audio is almost synonymous with the subwoofer and the same goes for the Zapco and amplifier connection. Since the installation is focused on sound quality, we decided with the customer to only have a three-way system in the front of the car and therefore did not install the rear speakers. In the future, however, it is possible to install speakers as well as a rear door. At the end, of course, it was time for measurements and detailed sound settings on the DSP processor. Using a calibrated microphone, we measured all the shortcomings and obstacles of a given car and set the spatial correction of the equalizer for each speaker in the car. Subsequently, we set time corrections, levels, bandpasses or phases and all this to ensure the most faithful sound.
