Anyone who is even slightly interested in car hifi must have encountered Focal Polykevlar speakers. Yes, that's what they used to be called. They are typical for their yellow polykevlar layered membrane, which can play an incredibly realistic sound, and believe me, the entire Focal ES series (formerly K2 Power) can also deliver very high performance. We at Ahifi have adored focals with a yellow membrane for many years, not for nothing that they were the first expensive speakers we had on offer when we started with autohifi.The ES 165 K kit consists of two 6.5" (165 mm) woofers and two 20 mm TKM tweeters. It is a compact solution that is easy to install. K2 Power Kevlar® diaphragms used for the speakers of the ES 165 K component kit provide an extremely dynamic sound and perfect definition. Endowed with all the ideal properties, lightness, stiffness and excellent damping, these diaphragms have also received a new TMD suspension, whose exclusive design eliminates unwanted resonances and reduces the effects of distortion. The two TKM inverted dome tweeters are composed of aramid fibers. Their exclusive "M" shaped profile is designed to control dome distortion and perfectly smooth and accurately reproduce high frequencies up to 22kHz. Their compact crossovers are quick to install and easy to adjust. Various accessories are supplied to build the tweeters .
