SsangYong Korando - soundproofing of doors, wheel arches and installation of sound systems

Soundproofing of the doors and front fenders, as well as the installation of speakers and an amplifier for the SsangYong Korando car. This car surprised us with its robust design and the quality of the exterior and interior workmanship. As far as the factory noise reduction is concerned, however, it is a well-known classic, and this also applies to the quality of the factory speakers. According to the owner, the biggest problem with this car was the noise coming through the doors and from the front tires. No wonder, the thin door sheet metal and the complete lack of factory sound insulation cannot prevent road noise, and of course this also applies to the front wheel arches. As for the sound system, we installed the popular Hertz CK 165 component speakers in the front and rear doors and connected them to an amplifier for maximum use. Since the grill for the rear tweeters was not perforated from the factory, we agreed with the owner to allow a Hertz tweeter, thanks to which we were also able to install component speakers instead of coaxial ones in the rear.
