Unilite HL-6R headlamp

The Unilite HL-6R rechargeable headlamp offers a maximum output of 450 lumens from a single Cree LED spot and also has a second LED with a maximum output of 260 lumens. The HL-6R is powered by the included 18650mAh lithium-ion rechargeable battery, which is housed in a separate case on the back of the headband. The battery is charged inside the battery pack by inserting the cable into the micro USB port on the bottom of the battery pack and the other end into a USB port or mains/car adapter. When charging, the red LED will light up to indicate that charging is in progress and the green LED will light up to indicate that charging is complete. A full charge takes approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes. In addition to the rechargeable battery, the HL-6R can also use two AA alkaline batteries. Using AA alkaline batteries will reduce the lumen output, but if your rechargeable battery dies and you have nowhere to charge it (such as camping), AA alkaline batteries provide a good backup. Never attempt to charge the headlamp with AA batteries inserted!

Controlling and using the headlamp

A simple push-button microswitch controls the headlamp light setting. One press of the button turns on the light either in a straight beam or wide, depending on which you last used. To switch between spot and wide settings, press and hold the button for 1 second. If it remains in any setting for more than 3 seconds, another press will turn the light off. The tilting bracket allows the HL-6R to be set downwards at a 45° angle, so you can direct the light source where you need it most. Thanks to the high-visibility technology, you will be easily seen, which is useful when working in an industrial environment. Fully adjustable anti-slip silicone lining with headband helps keep the headlamp securely on your head or helmet.

• Wide Mid: 70 lumens, 16 hours, 10 m range.
• Wide Low: 15 lumens, 60 hours.
• Flash: 96 hours.

Using 2 x AA alkaline batteries:

• Spot High: 300 lumens, 1 hour and 30 minutes, range 129 m.
• Spot Mid: 130 lumens, 3 hours, range 72 m.
• Spot Low: 25 lumens, 14 hours, range 30 m.
• SOS: 26 hours.
• Wide High: 195 lumens, 1 hour, 18 m range.
• Wide Mid: 70 lumens; 4 hours, range 10 m.
• Wide Low: 15 lumens, 14 hours, range 5 m.
• Flash: 24 hours.
