Volvo S80 - noise reduction and speaker replacement
Noise reduction and sound system of the Volvo S80. As part of our Premium soundproofing package, we soundproofed the front, rear and fifth doors, the floor, the luggage compartment, the front and rear wheel arches from the inside, the bonnet and, beyond the scope of the Premium package, the torpedo. We soundproofed all the main areas of the car with membrane materials, which currently represent the most effective way to soundproof a car. The owner was also dissatisfied with the original additional sound system and wished for a simple upgrade. Since the car had a factory amplifier with sufficient power, we replaced only the original speakers with a very high-quality three-way system from the Israeli manufacturer Morel in the front doors and two-way speakers of the same manufacturer and model series in the rear doors. The result is an incomparably higher quality and balanced sound with a more pronounced bass component and detailed highs. Our basic Standard soundproofing includes soundproofing of all important areas of the car, focusing not only on high efficiency, but also at an affordable price. In particular, we are dedicated to soundproofing the hood, front and rear doors, trunk, floor and front and rear wheel arches from the inside. We use Comfortmat anti-vibration and sound-insulating materials, especially from the Standard model series, thanks to which we are able to reduce the price to a lower level. However, we apply the same materials as in the Premium soundproofing package to the areas most affected by noise. Thanks to this, our basic package already enables highly effective noise reduction, which at the given price has no equivalent on our market.
