Hi-Res player FiiO M23

With the latest generation of portable devices, FiiO brings a new D/A conversion solution. It consists of a combination of AKM chips AK4191EQ and AK4499EX. It is a completely new design that completely separates the digital and analog parts of the circuit and features a new "DWA ROUTING" technology that further improves the signal-to-noise ratio, but preserves the natural sound expression.

Desktop mode

Like the Q15, the M23 also offers a so-called desktop mode. The M23 has two USB-C ports on the bottom, one purely for charging and the other for data transfer. As soon as you connect the player to an external power source, the so-called Desktop mode is unlocked, which makes available all the power of the device (1000mW per channel, balanced output) and you will be able to use it with practically any headphones.

Fully balanced output

FiiO makes extensive use of THX brand amplifiers in their equipment. The chips of this brand are known for their accuracy and purity of sound. After many years of modifications, FiiO has really brought them to perfection and fitted the M23 with a THX AAA 78+ chip, which offers fully symmetrical playback and highly accurate and detailed sound. In addition, the M23 supports super-fast charging, thanks to which you are able to charge the first 80% of the battery in one hour of charging. On a full charge, the device can play music for up to 10.5 hours.

FiiO processing

As usual with FiiA, the physical finish of the player is of high quality. The body is made of a combination of aluminum, display and glass back. It adopts the hexagonal design of its predecessor, the FiiO M11 player, including buttons, volume control and screen. Only the Desktop mode switch and two USB ports on the bottom of the device are new.
