Land Rover Defender - new sound system with DSP processor

Land Rover Defender sound system. This beautiful piece definitely deserved an improved sound in the form of new speakers, a subwoofer and an amplifier with a DSP processor. Within the given budget, we decided on component speakers from the French manufacturer Focal, which are always a safe bet in terms of sound. The advantage was also the excellent design of the tweeter, which fit perfectly into the original location in the dashboard. We supplemented the speakers with a top JL Audio subwoofer, which, after proper tuning, was able to raise the dynamics of the new sound system, but also to improve the reproduction of the lower mid-range frequencies of the mid-bass speakers. They are very unluckily located in the dashboard, moreover, miracles cannot be expected from a smaller size. So setting up the sound was a big challenge, but we like to look for those. The budget also included a six-channel amplifier with a DSP processor from the Japanese manufacturer Nakamichi, thanks to which we were able to start detailed sound settings in the DSP processor program. Using a calibrated microphone, we first measured all the shortcomings and obstacles of the car in question and set the spatial correction of the equalizer for each speaker in the car. Subsequently, we set time corrections, levels, bandpasses and other options that the DSP processor will allow us. The result is, in the given price range, highly superior sound adapted not only to our client, but above all to this vehicle, which is quite a nut for quality sound.
