Škoda Yeti - replacement of speakers and soundproofing of the doors

Installation of speakers and soundproofing of the front and rear doors in the Škoda Yeti. We have replaced the factory speakers with tried-and-tested component speakers from the German manufacturer Gladen M 165, which never disappoint us with their sound. You will be delighted by the high sensitivity, reduced impedance to 3 Ohms and the above-standard dynamics of these popular speakers. On that occasion, we also soundproofed all the doors. If you want to reduce the noise in the interior of the car, it is a good solution to start right at the door. Through them, a large amount of noise penetrates into the interior of the car, and high-quality soundproof doors can significantly reduce the noise in the interior. We soundproof the front and back doors in a total of 4 layers. First, we apply the premium anti-vibration material Comfortmat D2 to the outer sheet, followed by the anti-noise material Comfortmat Integra, which is specially designed for vehicle doors. Then we apply the anti-vibration material Comfortmat D2 again to the inner sheet of the door sheet. The last step is the soundproofing of the door upholstery using the flexible Comfortmat Soft Wave foam. This will prevent the spread of noise in this area and also prevent the squeaking and rattling of plastics. An additional bonus of soundproofing the door is a significant improvement in the sound of the factory speakers, especially the bass component of the mid-bass speaker.
