Volkswagen T6.1 - new audio system

Volkswagen T6.1 and installation of a new advanced sound system. This car is perhaps the most frequent visitor to our workshop, not only because of the soundproofing, but also the sound system. This time, too, it happened to both, but we will focus our photo report only on the sound system, which is undoubtedly worth paying attention to. Our client's task was to build a completely new audio system with a focus on high sound quality and above-standard performance and the ability to listen to most genres, including rock and dance music. All this while maintaining the factory appearance of the interior without any visible modifications. After a thorough consideration of all components, an interesting configuration of the new system emerged from the given requirements and the specific budget. From the loudspeakers, we chose the highest model range of the Italian manufacturer Hertz, specifically the Mille Legend. And that is mainly because it is a very versatile acoustic that is not afraid of sound quality and at the same time has almost infinite power and high sensitivity. We also focused on choosing the appropriate amplifier. We didn't want to give up analog class A/B for its natural and detailed sound, but the limit was the placement under the seat with a minimum of noise, the necessity of 5 or 6 channels and an ideally integrated DSP processor. In the end, we found a solution in the form of a new product in our assortment, namely a 6-channel amplifier from the American manufacturer Phoenix Gold from the top ZQ series. Luxurious design, analog class with excellent sound, sufficient performance, integrated DSP and dimensions that allowed us to install it under the seat, perhaps to the millimeter. All topped off with a great JL Audio subwoofer that found its place under the passenger seat. At the end of the installation comes the sound measurement with the professional JL Audio Max measuring system. We will then set the measured results in the DSP processor program, fine-tune the sound in detail according to our preferences, and then we will have the final adjustment with our client.
