Volvo S90 - soundproofing of the front and rear wheel arches

Noise reduction of the front and rear wheel arches of the Volvo S90. Its owner wanted to reduce the noise of these problematic areas that plague most vehicles, Volvo included. If for some reason you don't want to do a complete soundproofing, during which we thoroughly soundproof the undercarriage from the inside, the second option is to soundproof this area from the outside. Although there is a little less space, you will still notice a significant effect. First, we apply the professional Comfortmat Atom anti-vibration material to the body, which has a high acoustic loss factor (MLF) of 0.60 units. Such material effectively prevents vibrations and reduces the penetration of low-frequency noise. We then apply the Comfortmat Raptor membrane material to the plastic part of the undercarriage, which, despite its small thickness of 4 mm, provides a respectable sound insulation capacity of up to 30 dB.
