VW Caddy - replacement of speakers and soundproofing of the wheel arches

In a VW Caddy, we replaced the factory speakers and silenced the front fenders. We installed our currently best-selling Hertz CK 165 component speakers in the front door, which at the given price stand out for their high-quality sound and high sensitivity. This enables seamless connection to the factory car radio without the need to install an external amplifier. To maximize the use of the speakers, we have thoroughly dampened the door with the Comfortmat anti-vibration material from the Standard series. In the rear compartment, we installed 4x6" coaxial speakers from the same manufacturer. In addition, the customer wanted to reduce the road noise from the front tires, so we also began to soundproof the front wheel arches. The metal part of the front wheel arches is damped with strong anti-vibration material Comfortmat D4, 4 mm thick , which prevents vibrations and the penetration of noise at the lowest frequencies. Subsequently, we soundproof the plastic wheel arches with the Comfortmat Blockshot membrane anti-noise material.
