VW Passat B8 - new sound system

Unfortunately, the basic factory sound system of the Volkswagen Passat is not exactly exciting, so for more demanding music fans, the replacement of the speakers is necessary. For this car, we chose component speakers from the German manufacturer Eton, which have the same dimensions as the factory speakers, namely 200 mm in the front doors and 165 mm in the rear. Speakers with a larger diameter have significantly better dynamics and this was one of the reasons why we fitted the front door with these very good sounding speakers. We installed the same speakers in the classic 165 mm size in the rear doors. Eton speakers of the POW series stand out with very high sensitivity and are therefore suitable for connection to a factory radio without the need to install an external amplifier. Thanks to the cable adapters, we did not have to interfere with the original wiring of the vehicle and we used the factory speaker cables, which have a sufficient cross-section. Thorough damping with premium Comfortmat materials ensures ideal acoustic conditions, which are manifested in particular by a more pronounced bass component. We will also prevent the door panels from creaking thanks to the application of noise-absorbing foam material.
