ESB Audio 3.6C 2-way coaxial speakers
The ESB Series 3000 loudspeaker system (Tremila) has been developed and assembled with great dedication to researching materials and technical solutions of the highest level. The goal was to create a complete line of speakers and subwoofers with a focus on high sound quality and versatile installation. The speaker baskets have been designed to achieve maximum torsional rigidity thanks to ABS plastic reinforced with fiberglass. A membrane made of pressed paper with a waterproof treatment is the best combination of lightness, stiffness and the ability of the membrane to dampen any unwanted vibrations. The mid-bass speakers are equipped with a motor with a class Y-35 ferrite magnet, with significantly higher performance than classic "standard" ferrite magnets. The tweeters with a diameter of 25 mm are made of a thin textile membrane impregnated with silk for a very soft and natural sound. The coil has excellent ventilation with anti-resonance chambers and is damped with a special oil based on liquid iron. The innovative design of the ABS phase connector ensures that the speaker response remains linear in the mid-high and high frequencies. Its concave design arranged at a very open angle helps to increase linearity even at accentuated listening angles. This is very important for mid-range and mid-high range reproduction when the woofer is installed at the bottom of the door.
Main features of ESB Audio 3.6C speakers
The 3000 series coaxial speakers share several common and exclusive technologies. The fiberglass-reinforced ABS basket was designed to obtain maximum torsional stiffness, but at the same time offer minimum resistance to the passage of air forced by the diaphragm from the rear face. The basket plays a vital role in balancing the coil in the magnetic circuit, and its stiffness plays a decisive role. Damping is an equally important factor. Classic steel baskets usually tend to resonate, which significantly changes the final sound result of the speaker. The ABS plastic basket allows for better clamping force torque than typical pressed steel frames and ensures that the voice coil remains well centered in the magnetic field. The paper membrane still represents the best ratio of lightness, stiffness and the ability of the membrane to dampen any unwanted vibrations and distortions. The special waterproof treatment developed in ESB does not change the appearance and parameters of the loudspeaker like traditional glossy polymers, which add a significant amount of mass to the membrane itself and significantly modify the sound result. Perbunan suspension rubber provides the dual function of high damping and excellent lateral stability. This means that the diaphragm is "forced" to only move vertically, eliminating lateral movements that could cause contact with the coil and magnet. The voice coil of the woofers uses an aluminum carrier and winding with two-layer copper wire technology with an aluminum core. The long stroke design was chosen to improve sensitivity and efficiency while maintaining minimal distortion. The speakers are equipped with a class Y-35 ferrite magnet motor with a significantly higher output than the classic "standard" ferrite magnets, which ensures easier control of the power applied to the speaker as well as its excellent efficiency. The speaker also includes integrated tweeters with a diameter of 25 mm with a silk dome, which ensures faithful and accurate delivery of high frequencies. High quality N-35 neodymium magnets are optimized through computer simulations for better efficiency and improved linearity to provide more and better power management and increase bandwidth and efficiency. The result is coaxial speakers with superior sound that are a great addition to the components of this model range.
About the ESB Audio brand
The history of ESB Audio dates back to 1972, when this Italian brand was officially founded. ESB audio is one of the most famous speaker system manufacturers of the second half of the 20th century, and during their rich history they have launched many innovative technologies and many high-end home audio products that have achieved huge worldwide success. Based on the experience gained, in 1984, ESB engineers began to engage in research aimed at optimizing sound in the automotive environment, and two years later began the production of the first car speakers. Thanks to the great success, ESB began to focus more and more on the automotive industry and its demanding challenges. Car Audio is starting to be a phenomenon of the time, and in 2005 a school focused exclusively on vehicle sound was founded in the city of Aprilia, where ESB is based. It was then that the final decision was made to leave the world of home audio and focus exclusively on vehicle sound systems. Currently, ESB is part of the Italian company Apex Group, together with the American manufacturer of audiophile amplifiers and DSP processors Zapco. In the offer you will find several model lines of speakers, led by the super high-end Diecimila three-way system, which represents probably the best quality and most expensive car speakers on the market today. And that is the main mission of ESB audio. To produce speakers of the highest quality, focused on faithful sound, which will allow the user to reproduce as the interpreter intended. Exactly according to the company's slogan "Just like live".
