New sound system for the Škoda Octavia 4 RS car. This sporty cut liftback with a great design has one major beauty flaw for us, which is the optional Canton audio system. The latter tries with all its might to look like a "premium" sound system, but the reality is completely different. We have already mentioned its main weaknesses several times, so let's focus on how to improve the sound in this popular Škoda. It will be an exceptional sound system that would please many an audiophile. To replace the factory speakers, together with the very demanding owner of this car, we chose speakers from the Italian manufacturer ESB Audio of the Cinquemila model series, which will impress especially with their advanced sound, almost endless performance, but also with exemplary processing and the use of luxurious materials with carbon diaphragms for bass, middle and treble. speakers. We connected the front three-band and rear two-band system in active mode to a twelve-channel amplifier from the German Helix, which will supply all speakers with sufficient power. The icing on the cake is the integrated DSP processor with an excellent sound setting program, on which we will finally tune the sound of this car. An equally important part of the installation is the JL Audio compact subwoofer, which will provide the new sound system with excellent dynamics and a high-quality presentation of low frequencies. At the end, of course, it was time to measure and adjust the sound on the DSP processor. Using a calibrated microphone, we measured all the shortcomings and obstacles in the sound in the interior of the given car and set the spatial correction of the equalizer for each speaker separately. Subsequently, we set time corrections, levels, bandpasses and other options that the DSP processor will allow us.
