Toyota Hilux - new sound system (replacement of the additional JBL system)

New sound system for the Toyota Hilux car with extra charge JBL system. The owner of the car was very dissatisfied with this and asked us to replace it. This was a big challenge for us, because this car is not exactly ideal for high-end sound systems. And not only because of the minimum space for installing important components, but especially because of the additional JBL system itself. We expected the most complex variant and it was confirmed. The JBL amplifier in this car cannot be removed because it has a lot of functions attached to it. And if we leave it in the system, it will practically make any efforts to improve the sound impossible due to the set crossovers and other complicated functions. However, we were not deterred and found a solution in the USA in the form of a special adapter for this type of car and the JBL system, which will retain the important functions of the amplifier for the car and at the same time allow the installation of a second amplifier without any sound restrictions. So the first problem was solved and we were faced with a difficult choice of components. The demand for very high-quality sound was complicated by practically no space for placing high-quality amplifiers and the extremely flat JBL center speaker in the dashboard. We accomplished even this challenging task thanks to top speakers from the Israeli manufacturer Morel and amplifiers from Audison and Zapco, which, in addition to excellent sound delivery, also boast truly miniature dimensions. You can thus enjoy silky tweeters with a typical Morelá "sweet & warm" sound, details in your favorite songs that you have not heard before, and high performance without any distortion. At the end of the installation, the most important thing comes in the form of sound measurement with a professional JL Audio Max measuring system with 5 microphones, which will allow you to literally squeeze the maximum out of the audio system in the vehicle. We then set the measured results in the program of the DSP processor integrated into the eight-channel Audison amplifier, fine-tune the sound in detail according to our preferences, and then we have the final adjustment with our client. The result of a successful setup is a high-quality and faithful sound adapted to the driver and to this particular car.
