Unilite HL-5R headlamp

The rechargeable Unilite HL-5R headlamp offers a maximum output of 325 lumens from its high-performance white LED COB diode. It features a sensor control switch that allows you to turn it on and off with a wave of your hand in front of the headlamp (sensing distance approx. 15cm), which is ideal for tasks where your hands may be dirty, oily, etc. If you don't want to use the sensor control, there is also a regular button for push control. In order to control the light with the sensor control, you need to activate it by pressing the left button, then when you wave your hand in front of it, the light will turn on / off at maximum power. To exit the sensor output, simply press the sensor button again. The right button controls the light normally and each press will cycle between low, high and off lighting states. If it stays in any mode for more than 3 seconds, press it again to turn it off.

Battery and headlamp charging

Thanks to the built-in 1500 mAh lithium-polymer rechargeable battery, the HL-5R has a battery life of 2 hours in high mode. Charging the unit is easy, simply plug the micro USB cable into the bottom of the flashlight (with the flashlight off) and the other end into a USB power source with at least 1A. When charging, it glows red, after about 2 hours and 30 minutes, the headlamp is charged and the indicator light turns on green.

Headlamp construction

The headlamp's high visibility technology (fluorescent colour) means you will always be seen, which is useful when working in an industrial environment. A fully adjustable anti-slip silicone lining strap helps keep the headlamp securely on your head or helmet, and the tilting bracket allows the HL-5R to be adjusted down at a 60° angle so you can point the light source where you need it.
