ESB 2.6K2X component speakers

The new model series 2000 (Duemila) is based on the experience gained from the more advanced and very successful series 3000, with which it shares many design and technological solutions. The identical basket and diaphragm of the mid-bass speaker ensure accurate and faithful delivery of low and medium frequencies. The basket of the mid-bass speaker made of ABS plastic reinforced with glass fibers has a high mechanical resistance, much higher than traditional metal baskets. The pressed paper diaphragm provides an excellent balance between performance, durability and stability with a high internal damping factor allowing for low distortion. You can choose from two sizes of tweeters with a silk dome, which, compared to the 3000 series, also include integrated crossovers for easy installation. In the portfolio of the Duemila series, you will also find sound-superior coaxial speakers and a three-way system with a special UMA unit. Traditional green details enhance the design of this series, which brings top technology and high-quality sound inspired by the higher ESB series at a lower price. Due to the high real sensitivity, the speakers of the 2000 series are also suitable for connecting to a car radio, but they will fully demonstrate their advantages when an external amplifier is installed.

Mid-bass speaker ESB Audio 2.165 II

The mid-bass speakers of the 2000 series share several exclusive technologies from the higher-end 3000 series. The fiberglass-reinforced ABS basket was designed to obtain maximum torsional rigidity, but at the same time offer minimal resistance to the passage of air forced by the membrane from the rear face. The basket plays a vital role in balancing the coil in the magnetic circuit, and its stiffness plays a decisive role. Damping is an equally important factor. Classic steel baskets usually tend to resonate, which significantly changes the final sound result of the speaker. The ABS plastic basket allows for better clamping force torque than typical pressed steel frames and ensures that the voice coil remains well centered in the magnetic field. The paper membrane still represents the best ratio of lightness, stiffness and the ability of the membrane to dampen any unwanted vibrations and distortions. The special waterproof treatment developed in ESB does not change the appearance and parameters of the speaker like traditional glossy polymers, which add a significant amount of mass to the diaphragm itself and significantly modify the sound result. Perbunan suspension rubber provides the dual function of high damping and excellent lateral stability. This means that the diaphragm is "forced" to only move vertically, eliminating lateral movements that could cause contact with the coil and magnet. The voice coil of the woofers uses an aluminum carrier and winding with two-layer copper wire technology with an aluminum core. The long stroke design was chosen to improve sensitivity and efficiency while maintaining minimal distortion. The speakers are equipped with a class Y-35 ferrite magnet motor with significantly higher output than the classic "standard" ferrite magnets, which ensures easier control of the power applied to the speaker as well as its excellent efficiency.

The 2000 series tweeters use a thin dome membrane impregnated with silk for a very soft and natural sound. The outer suspension is made of the same material, but is additionally covered with a high-loss damping material to eliminate vibrations and resonances. The tweeter dome is extremely lightweight, much less susceptible to mechanical deformation, yet still provides a smooth, linear and extended response. The 28mm voice coil has an aluminum support and very light copper-clad aluminum wire. The coil has excellent ventilation with anti-resonance chambers and is damped with a special oil based on liquid iron. The special SVS (Surround Vented System) ventilation design provides optimal cooling to handle high performance and avoid air compression at the back of the diaphragm with great reduction in distortion. High quality neodymium magnets such as N-42 are optimized using computer simulations to achieve better efficiency and improve linearity to provide more and better power management and increase bandwidth and efficiency. For easy installation and the possibility of passive connection, the tweeters contain an integrated frequency crossover.
