More about the product
Comfortmat Dark D3 anti-vibration material
Top anti-vibration damping material Comfortmat of the Dark series, which belongs to the premium materials of the Comfortmat company. It consists of a special self-adhesive butyl rubber layer and aluminum foil with a rectangular pressed structure. The latest Dark model series was completely renewed in 2019 and brings completely unique properties thanks to the highly effective and ultra-light composition of the D-Formula putty. Serial production of anti-vibration materials of the Dark series was possible only after the new multi-stage low-temperature mixing technology of DarkAir was developed. Thanks to this, it was possible to achieve indicators that were unattainable before this time. No other anti-vibration material in the world has such a ratio of material weight to its effectiveness. In Comfortmat, we succeeded in creating a unique material that contradicts itself in many ways - the weight was significantly reduced and at the same time the acoustic loss factor increased to previously unattainable values. Like all Comfortmat materials, the Dark series stands out for its high adhesion to metal, resistance to water, moisture and oils, has anti-corrosion properties and, thanks to its resistance to extreme temperatures, retains the same properties in summer and winter.
Unique technology of the Dark model series
The Comfortmat of the Dark series is exceptional thanks to the already mentioned multi-stage DarkAir low-temperature mixing technology. This enables a material weight reduction of up to an incredible 40% and at the same time an increase in efficiency. The materials of the Dark series also have a special aluminum foil, the production process of which uses the HotAL II double heat treatment technology. This guarantees increased rigidity of the film while maintaining excellent flexibility during work. The new inFliz technology for simple application of the butyl mixture on aluminum foil allows for the complete absence of air between the layers and, thanks to a more even distribution over the entire surface, significantly improves the properties of the materials. The new design with a 5 x 5 cm grid helps in cutting the material, facilitates installation and also protects Comfortmat products from counterfeits.

Where to apply the Comfortmat Dark D3 material
You can apply the anti-vibration material Comfortmat D3 almost anywhere where it is necessary to reduce vibrations and resonances. Due to the thickness of 3 mm and the high acoustic loss factor, the material is particularly suitable for areas with a medium vibration load. Due to their very low weight, anti-vibration materials of the Dark series are especially ideal for soundproofing doors, roofs and other areas where weight plays an important role. They can also be used as the first layer in soundproofing the floor, roof, undercarriage or trunk. In our article " how to choose an anti-vibration material ", you will learn all other information about anti-vibration materials, their use, and the right choice.
